The Tree Cafe at Eastpoint Mall offers a laid-back spot for casual dining with a local neighbourhood feel. Located on the second floor of the mall, it strikes a balance between convenience and a relaxed space, making it a handy pitstop for shoppers and nearby residents alike. The atmosphere is unpretentious—service is personal, with the chef often visible working solo, quietly delivering food with care even during busier moments.

The menu leans towards approachable comfort food with Asian-Western fusion touches, notably rice bowls featuring variations like Thai chilli fish, teriyaki chicken, and pepper smoked duck, each served with a sous vide egg and vegetables. This kind of meal matches well with visitors looking for satisfying lunches or light dinners that feel homemade rather than rushed. For those after something lighter, the make-your-own mesclun salad is a flexible choice, and the mushroom bisque feels warming and hearty without being too heavy.

Desserts here provide a cozy finish, especially on cooler days or for a casual meet-up over something sweet. Options like warm lava cake with ice cream or a brownie with vanilla ice cream offer simple, familiar indulgences rather than extravagant presentations. The waffles with ice cream are a crowd-pleaser, often shared among friends or families.

The place draws a steady mix of families, mall visitors, and groups that appreciate straightforward, good-quality food without fuss. It’s clear from interactions that the staff take pride in providing attentive, thoughtful service—there’s even a student discount quietly offered, demonstrating a neighborhood-minded approach. Visitors should expect a calm environment where food arrives fresh and well-prepared, even when the team is managing solo in the kitchen.

If you find yourself at Eastpoint Mall and want a meal that’s neither fast food nor formal dining, The Tree Cafe offers a practical and pleasant stop. Best visited outside peak weekend hours for a quieter table, it suits people who value simple but tasty dishes paired with a comfortable setting to catch up or recharge during a shopping trip.

The cheesy truffle burger was rich and flavorful, with a nice balance of truffle aroma and creamy cheese. The sous vide duck confit was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, making it a delicious and satisfying meal.

For a family of picky eaters, all of us had zero complaints. We were very happy with how our food t came out. Just a heads up that for the thicker drinks the regular straw makes it hard to drink. The drinks are also not the best but it does the job. The atmosphere is great and service was good too. Thank you for serving us.

Not our first time here and just finished eating here again. Really really good food. The chef was alone with only one counter staff. But he whipped up 4 main dishes without any compromise in quality. A sign of a great chef in the making. I paid compliments to him in person but this isthe kind of sincere (yet brilliant) individuals that should be rewarded and given opportunity to shine brighter. A gem.

Generally everything was good. Price was reasonable. If you have students in your group and you order main course, you'll get $2 off. The cashier was very kind to ask if we had students in our group even without us knowing about this promo. That's customer service cod you. That's also why I gave 5 stars. For the food, it's pretty decent. Based on the prices (around $12+) the quality is value for money. Tried the Rock Honey Chicken, BBQ Chicken and Breaded Fish. You can choose 2 sides to go with the main courses. I'd say all 3 dishes are good. Best thing about this place for me is the music where they played pop songs from year 2000, best place to eat, chat, chill and listen to music.
